Richard Wagner-Gatzke 11/16 - Restored Vintage Solingen Straight Razor - Shave Ready
This vintage high carbon Richard Wagner-Gatzke straight razor was made in Solingen Germany around the mid-1900s and was part of a 7-day set. It is beautifully ground and has been lightly restored and honed to a shave ready condition.
Blade: Double stabilizer, 11/16" wide from edge to spine, full hollow grind, no hone wear, wonderful restored glazed finish blade faces with fully polished tang and spine with a few light blemishes, upper and lower jimping.
Scales: Original triple pinned cream colored celluloid scales with nickel silver washers. Restored and polished to a high gloss, the blade is held tightly and centers well between them.
Honing: A new bevel was set on the blade and it was further honed using natural stones and then stropped on shell cordovan. It has been disinfected and is ready to put into immediate use. We take pride in our honing and are sure that this razor will give a keen shave.
