Aiiwatani Tomae Kiita Nashiji Japanese Natural Finishing Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on the sides to protect the stone for long term use.

It measures 190 mm (7.87 inches) long × 65 mm (2.09 inches) wide × 25 mm (1.18 inches) tall, and weighs 895 g (30.49 oz / 1.91 lbs).

Another gorgeous, vintage Aiiwatani for razors. This stone straddles the line between Kiita and Asagi with multi-toned base featuring shades of yellows, oranges and swirling nashiji. A hard, dense and fine stone which is perfect for final finishing of razors, tools and knives where a fine finish is desired. This stone seemingly defies logic with it's super hard and dense base having the elastic characteristic which allows it to be used with heavier blades. The stone displays impressive abrasive content for it's hardness with jet back, fine swarf released in clear water. Wonderful for razor final finishing using either nagura progressions or standalone finishing. When used for polishing, the stone creates a super bright and reflective mirror polish with excellent detail.
