Vintage Atagoyama firm yellow Asagi. A vintage koppa with excellent hardness and mirror polishing ability. A perfect stone for someone looking for a harder, more fine Atagoyama stone which is quite different overall from the current examples on the market today. This harder type of Atagoyama is great for razor final finishing and capable of achieving extremely keen/fine edges and quickly. This particular stone is quite narrow and thin height so it's a great value. A perfect stone to use as a comparison to a softer, more modern Atagoyama. This stone has a classic, yellow asagi colored base with underlying Suminagashi patterns. A surprisingly dense, firm and fine stone. Extremely high performance stone with high hardness and density. Thin but affordable and great size for hand held honing.
