With this DOVO straight razor, you reach for the stars. The ASTRALE brings a cosmic touch to classic wet shaving with its full hollow grind, double-ribbed tang, and elegant gold decoration. A nickel silver plate is set into the ebony handle.

MATERIAL & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Made from carbon steel 1.2210 (silver steel) and hardened to approx. 61 HRC through precise heat treatment and oil quenching. Subsequent tempering provides elasticity and toughness. Decorative elements are finished with elegant 24-karat gold plating.

HANDLE
Crafted from premium black ebony, one of the world’s hardest and most valuable woods. Its dense structure resists moisture and swelling, while repeated grinding and polishing produce a silky-smooth, durable finish. A nickel silver plate is set into the handle for optional personal engraving.

GRIND
Full hollow ground for excellent flexibility combined with strong longitudinal rigidity, delivering classic audible feedback and a smooth shaving feel.

BLADE & POINT
The round point is the traditional razor shape, valued for centuries for its safety and versatility. Its curved profile allows confident shaving around the ears, nose, and contours while helping reduce the risk of cuts.

BLADE WIDTH
The 5/8" blade is a true all-rounder—heavy enough for smooth, pressure-free strokes, yet nimble enough for precise work around the nose, ears, and chin.
