Extremely large and wide 30' Hideriyama Renge Suita. This stone is an absolute beast of a Suita and not much needs to be said regarding its overall beauty so let's get to the practical traits. Overall, the stone is perfect for pre finishing of razors and polishing knives. It has insanely smooth and easy going feel making it approachable to nearly anyone. The lines on the surface do not affect polishing and can't be felt when honing a razor. There are some orange areas close to the end which may open up and release toxic particles in the future. If this happens, they can be removed like a line. Priced accordingly. The stone's white base is splashed with dense Renge of varying shades. There are deep, underlying Suminagashi like patterns present. This stone is effective in scratch removal and quick to create a smooth and even polish. This stone can burnish knives as well adding to the range of finishes the stone is capable of achieving. For razor pre finishing, the stone can be used with or without forced slurry depending on the desired results. The stone has a smooth and fine texture which can be felt and heard through high pitch, fine feedback. Overall, a Collector grade quality Suita which is approachable to all levels of skill.

A photo of the stone's polishing ability on a high quality Japanese kitchen knife is shown.
