Hon Narutaki - Nagura & Finger Stones Japanese Whetstone - 100g (0.22 lbs)

We have plenty of these raw Narutaki raw finger stone or nagura pieces which we are offering for sale in 100g batches. The pictured stones are representative of a 100g batch, but will vary in size in appearance from those shown.

These unprocessed pieces of Tenjou Tomae and Akapin are excellent for fingerstones and small Nagura. Traditionally, these Narutaki stones were used for Japanese Sword Polishing. They would typically be used after Uchigumori for the final stages of polishing. These stones are on the softer side overall and will include different colors, patterns and levels of possible polish/refinement. 

These Narutaki stones have a distinct ability to create vivid Kasumi polish with hazy Jigane and bright Hagane. 

These stones are from the Hon Narutaki mine and not the “geographic area”, sometimes referred to as Narutaki. 

With all unprocessed stones, there a degree of uncertainty regarding the final results which can only determined by using the stones.
