Japanese Natural Toishi Whetstone - Takashima Iromono

This Japanese whetstone was purchased by us from the estate of a collector of fine razors & hones. It measures 142 mm (5.59 in) long × 65 mm (2.56 in) wide × 17 mm (0.67 in) tall, and weighs 362g.

Hardness: LV 2.5
Very soft piece of Takashima for knives and razor pre-finish. This stone immediately self slurries and has mild cutting abilities making it ideal for knife polishing as it leaves a dark haze that carries over into the final finish. These type of soft stones are very good for beginners as they help build confidence as it will yield consistent results.
