Value priced Uchigumori koppa from Mizukihara. Mizukihara is a Tanba area, western mine. Located in the same mountain as Ohira and extremely close to Umajiyama. These Uchigumori are mined from the Tenjou Suita layer and historically used for sword polishing. Sword polishing stones are grit rich or fast cutting, especially the hard steel. This translates to high performance in regard to mono steel razors, which are composed of all hard steel. Uchigumori are wonderful for pre finishing of razors by effectively removing the previous grit scratches. Uchigumori produce a blanket of haze and unique, detailed polish, quickly. Also perfect for knives, tools and swords.
