Classic, vintage Nakayama Shiki Tomae Mizu Asagi Goma. An extremely old razor hone with early saw mark, from a vintage collection. This is a super hard Mizu Asagi with top notch performance and produces light saber edges. Great for all levels of skill and beginners to harder stones wanting to learn. Although it is super hard, it has a forgiving, smooth, gliding feel which Nakayama Asagi are known for. Great balance of super hard base and forgiving feel which is subtle but there. Amazing razor finisher which is great for both Nagura Progressions and standalone finishing, which is rare. It does both at a super high level and although it's a smaller koppa, it's absolutely packed with pure performance. Performs on par with Nakayama Maruka and Maruichi! Can also be used for Knives and tools and despite the high hardness, it accepts heavier blades and provides a smooth, seamless feel when sharpening, even when using firmer, downward pressure. When used for polishing, it removes previous grit scratches quickly and efficiently for such a hard stone and produces a highly refined, detailed, mirror - like polish.
