Nakayama is arguably the most famous of the Yamashiro Mines along with its famous counterpoint, Shobudani. Nakayama has a rich history and is known for producing some of the best performing stones in the game. shallow, Tenjou Tomae layer Nakayama with unique, deep dark coloration. Extremely smooth and softer for Nakayama Tomae. Mined close to the Akapin layer and demonstrates similar performance characteristics. Purple toned base color with lighter shades of Namazu, typical for these color Tomae layers. Creamy, easy going operation, perfect for beginners and all levels of skill. Versatile in application, great for knives, razors and tools. Although easy going, not soft and coarse, as it's appearance may suggest. Also not the most fine but razors can be finished with proper technique and time.
