Aiwatani Aisa Karasu Koppa Japanese Natural Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and coated with cashew lacquer on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use.

It measures 180 mm (7.09 inches) long × 65 mm (2.56 inches) wide × 22 mm (0.87 inches) tall, and weighs 735 g (1.62 pounds).

Karasu stones from the Aiiwatani mine are commonly harder stones. this one is refreshingly different with user friendly, semi soft base. With beautiful light blue Mizu Asagi base and random black Karasu patterns. This stone is quite fine for it's softer nature and is great when used as a standalone hone or Nagura progressions when finishing razors. This stone is very unique in that it feedback from Mikawa Nagura can be easily read although the stone is a bit softer. * This stone is being lapped extensively as a few toxic lines and a small toxic Karasu spot which can be easily felt when honing.
