Hideriyama Uroko Sunashi Suita Renge Ooban Japanese Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 155 mm (6.10 inches) long × 115 mm (4.53 inches) wide × 30 mm (1.18 inches) tall, and weighs 1370 g (48.33 oz / 3.02 lbs).

Medium hardness Suita with Renge from Hideriyama. This Suita is noticeably more firm than all of the Shiro Suita. The stone has a buff colored base with Splashes of Red Iromono and Renge. A combination layer of Uroko and Suita with no Su. A semi firm Suita with excellent abrasive power. Perfect for knives and tools and razor pre finish. More firm and bright polishing than Shiro Suita and Tomae. Great for razors after medium grit with smooth, buttery feel and quick scratch removal leaving the edge ready for a fine finishing stone. Excells in polishing of tools, knives and Honyaki blades. The firm base allows for adequate slurry breakdown to achieve higher levels of refinement. Polish is unique with reflective but highly contrasting Kasumi finish.
