Nakayama Suita Japanese Natural Finishing Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 135 mm (5.31 inches) long × 80 mm (3.15 inches) wide × 25 mm (0.98 inches) tall, and weighs 621 g (21.91 oz / 1.37 lbs).

Super hard, old stock Nakayama Suita Koppa with tomo nagura. These koppa were mined during the mid 1900's by our wholesalers grandfather and stored in their warehouse. They are small, irregular koppa, some with minor imperfections like lines etc. The lines can be dug and the stone used as if they were not there. These Nakayama Suita Koppa are mirror polishing stones with their super hard base. They contain dense abrasive particles which can be released through various methods of slurry creation such as Mikawa Nagura, diamond plate, or Tomo Nagura. Each method will yield slightly differing results.
