Ohira Renge Suita Japanese Natural Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 210 mm (8.27 inches) long × 50 mm (1.97 inches) wide × 50 mm (1.97 inches) tall, and weighs 1260 g (44.44 oz / 2.78 lbs).

This Beautiful San sized Ohira Shiro Suita is lapped on both sides offering a unique perspective on the stones capabilities from both ends. One side of the stone shows the miner's hand chiseling which is very rare and adds to its natural beauty. This stone is also great for a wide variety of applications including razor finishing, knives, tools and sword polishing. This Suita is firm yet forgiving with a gentle sharpening feel. It can be used effectively for honing razors either with Nagura progressions or standalone. This Suita does an excellent job in showcasing Nagura feedback which is very rare. When used for knives and tools, the stone performs firm and inky with very little self slurry. Creates a beautiful Kasumi finish on both sides with ease.
