This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 220 mm (8.66 inches) long × 80 mm (3.15 inches) wide × 26 mm (1.02 inches) tall, and weighs 1274 g (44.93 oz / 2.81 lbs).

Okudo Suita are best known as being considered King if Suita in Japan and for good reason. Their high abrasive content is fine in nature yet impressively aggressive. While removing previous scratches quickly, they also possess excellent refinement capabilities. This piece was taken from the Hon Suiya layer. It features a creamy off white, tamagoiro base color with a yaki orange border. This piece has both Nashiji and Aka renge which adorn the stones face. An extremely fine and dense Suita with excellent hardness.
