Shobudani Shiki Tomae Mizu Asagi. Shobudani is one of the original Honyama Mines along with Nakayama. Shobudani produced a wide variety of stone types and characteristics. This hard Mizu Asagi was mined from the Shiki Tomae layer, known for producing consistent, fine, Asagi stones. This square shaped koppa is perfect for tools, knives and razors but certainly best suited for razor finishing. Perfect for a travel/handheld hone with excellent quality and hardness and compact. Hard enough for high performance in terms of Mikawa nagura progressions and just forgiving enough for firm pressure when used with heavier blades as well.
