Semi hard and fine Yaginoshima Hachimai with vivid patterns. Double sided stone with excellent size and thickness. Creamy and easy to use with clear feedback. Both sides yield similar results speaking to its purity and uniformity. Great, dense structure and hardness yet quite forgiving. A versatile finishing stone, great for all blades including razors, knives and tools. Just hard enough for Nagura progressions and amazing as a standalone finisher as well. Great size with ample surface area for polishing as well. Capable of producing extremely fine edges with extended honing and proper technique in breaking down slurry. Perfect for all skill levels including beginners. Wonderful tool and knife finisher with fine polishing capabilities as well. Perfect for single bevel knives as it's fast enough for the omote and firm/fine enough for the ura as well.
