Aiwatani Hon Suita Renge Japanese Natural Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 172 mm (6.77 inches) long × 90 mm (3.54 inches) wide × 22 mm (0.87 inches) tall, and weighs 840 g (1.85 lb / 29.63 oz).

Extremely rare and high performance Aiiwatani Suita. This piece is large with ample surface area for all applications. This stone has an orange base with Renge and Namazu currently showing on the surface. this may start to change over time as the stone is lapped/used as it appears that there may be some Tenjou Suita Blue coloration laying in wait. This Suita is medium hardness and demonstrates fast cutting speed and excellent ease of use characteristics. This Suita is fast cutting and produces a nice amount of self slurry and black swarf. This stone has amazing polishing capabilities and is capable of producing a wide range of polishes depending on how it's used.
