Aiwatani Kuro Karasu Japanese Natural Finishing Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 175 mm (6.89 inches) long × 130 mm (5.12 inches) wide × 20 mm (0.79 inches) tall, and weighs 960 g (33.86 oz / 2.11 lbs).

Stunningly gorgeous Kuro Karasu in wide format. Extremely high quality Aiiwatani Aisa Karasu with excellent hardness. Perfect for Razor final finishing using Mikawa nagura progression. This stone is a bit on the slower side but makes up it's lack of cutting strength through nagura feedback, which is it's strongest attribute. After multiple honing sessions with multiple combinations of Mikawa nagura, this stone is extremely good at translating feedback. The bumple feeling underneath the razor aids in this communication and allows the user to experience the stone/nagura to fullest extents. This is a less common trait and wonderful to experience, especially in a looker of a stone like this Karasu.
