These examples of special La Grise vein Select and Standard grade Coticules were sliced from the edge of the vein and combine 2 usable honing sides of Belgian Blue and yellow Coticule.
This Belgian Coticule is from the atelier of Ardennes Coticule, the only remaining producers of these sharpening stones. Coticules are wonderful razor hones and also well known for honing tools and knives. They are a fast cutting yet fine and versatile stone that can be used for bevel setting through finishing or followed by a finer stone.
