Offered here are classic, old mined Belgian Coticule water razor hones with Belgian Blue backing stone from the Ardennes region of Belgium.
Mined and prized as barber hones for hundreds of years, presented here is a small selection of old and rare stones from a private collection.
As with all old coticules, these are composed of the dual side Yellow Coticule and Belgian Blue honing surfaces.
Each of these hones has been freshly lapped roughly on all sides and finally lapped with Atoma 1200 diamond plate on the BOTH the yellow coticule and Belgian Blue sides and are ready to use.

The stones pictured here have the following features:

Stone #1 - 35mm wide x 148mm long x 17mm thick (1.38 inches wide x 5.83 inches long x 0.67 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
This stone is a very old hard but fine glued combo with beautiful manganese markings. It has a chip on one edge of the coticule side but isn't in the way of sharpening.

Stone #2 - 37mm wide x 54mm long x 16mm thick (1.46 inches wide x 2.13 inches long x 0.63 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
This is an old and fine and very pale and smooth natural combo stone in original box.

Stone #3 - 50mm wide x 100mm long x 17mm thick (1.97 inches wide x 3.94 inches long x 0.67 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
An old and hard deep rock type natural combo, in worn original box and with the "Made in Belgium" ink stamp still visible on one side.

Stone #4 - 50mm wide x 101mm long x 19mm thick (1.97 inches wide x 3.98 inches long x 0.75 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
This is an old and fine and very pale and smooth natural combo stone, what one might consider a "kosher" coticule.

Stone #5 - 55mm wide x 135mm long x 20mm thick (2.17 inches wide x 5.31 inches long x 0.79 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
An old and very hard and fine deep rock type natural combo, it shows some signs of the presence of manganese in the stone visible as lines.

Stone #6 - 65mm wide x 126mm long x 21mm thick (2.56 inches wide x 4.96 inches long x 0.83 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
A large old and very hard very fine deep rock type natural combo, it shows some signs of the presence of manganese in the stone visible as lines and comes in vintage box it was sold in.

Stone #7 - 60mm wide x 125mm long x 21mm thick (2.36 inches wide x 4.92 inches long x 0.83 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
A very pale milky colored (kosher coticule perhaps?) and smooth glued combo coticule.
