La Veinette coticules come from the best of the modern seams, cutting very quickly yet very finely. The slurry usually will have a pale yellow color and these stones are great bevel setters as well as finishers. It is one of the best coticule types for razors.
This Belgian Coticule is from the atelier of Ardennes Coticule, the only remaining producers of these sharpening stones. They are a fast cutting yet fine and versatile stone that can be used right after a bevel setting stone, right onto a finish or followed by a finer stone.

The stones pictured here have the following features:

Stone #1 - 59mm wide x 114mm long x 19mm thick (2.32 inches wide x 4.49 inches long x 0.75 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
Previously used but freshly lapped, this is a very uniform and excellent La Veinette coticule.

Stone #2 - 71mm wide x 130mm long x 19mm thick (2.80 inches wide x 5.12 inches long x 0.75 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
Previously used but freshly lapped, this is a very uniform and excellent La Veinette coticule.

Stone #3 - 75mm wide x 140mm long x 20mm thick (2.95 inches wide x 5.51 inches long x 0.79 inches thick) at the longest/widest points
This is a very rare "Extra Hard" La Veinette natural combo coticule. Purchased directly from the mine a few years back, we've only tested this stone a small bit which led to some of the original pencil notes to be worn away. Notes originally said "Very Rare, Extra Hard La Veinette"
