Black Shadow - 150x60mm (5.9x2.25") -French Fine Finishing Razor Hone Sharpening Stone with Slurry Stone
The black shadow or “Black Shadow” is a slate type stone. It comes from a private family land composed in particular of slate of different grains allowing the declination of the entire "shadow" range.
Grain of 12000-15000 grit, very dense and hard stone for finishing razors, knives or other tools (gouges, wood chisels)
The density of the stone allows a "support" use for the use of Nagura of different grains.
Directions for use:
The “Black Shadow” can be used with slurry produced with a piece of the same stone (included), the slurry is best with little water on the stone, too much water will make it slip the end with a suction cup effect (hard stone), a minimum of water is recommended in order to use it perfectly and optimally.
The water-based finish will allow a shiny polishing, the use of Glycerin/oil will allow a more homogeneous finish, it is possible to switch from oil to water-based use provided the stone is well cleaned.
Stone finish: The 20mm thick stones are ready to use and surfaced with 80/120/240/600/1000 diamond discs and finished on felt + Alumina oxide
