C.V. Heljestrand Frameback Incredible Pristine 7 Day Vintage Swedish 13/16 Tortoise Scales Straight Razor Set - RARE
This amazing vintage seven day set of Heljestrand frame back azors was made in the early 1900s in Esklistuna Sweden and they look to have have never been used. This is a truly great opportunity to own a set of crisp mint and HIGHLY collectible fancy razors from one of the most respected makers of the 20th century. In addition, the genuine tortoise scales are truly gorgeous and rare (even moreso than ivory!).
The blades are all wedge shape blades set into a frame with rounded tips and have zero hone wear. They measure 13/16" wide from edge to the top of the spine and have beautiful factory finish, with only the very slightest of blemishes in the steel. The tangs are stamped with the maker's mark which are crisp and deep and the days of the week are etched into the spine in English.
The original genuine and rare tortoiseshell scales with nickel silver fastening hardware are in incredible like new condition and the blades are held tightly and center well between them. The razors come in the excellent original box which does have some loss to the outer covering, but really adds to the value and history of this set. These razors all have a sharp edge which may or not be considered shave ready, but it would not take much work to get them there. For collecting purposes we've left the existing edges as-is, however if desired we can hone all seven for $50. Please contact us after purchase if interested in adding this honing service.
A true collectible, do not miss this one!
