C.V. Heljestrand MK32 Incredible Near Pristine 7 Day Vintage Swedish 6/8 Straight Razor Set - RARE
This amazing vintage seven day set of Heljestrand MkK32 6/8 razors was made in the early 1900s in Esklistuna Sweden and they look to have have never been used. This is a truly great opportunity to own a set of near mint and HIGHLY collectible fancy razors from one of the most respected makers of the 20th century. In addition, the genuine elephant ivory scales are truly gorgeous and rare. This set was sold by M. Kindall of Paris, a famous cutlery dealer of the era.
The blades are all thinly full hollow ground with rounded square tips that measure 13/16" wide from edge to the top of the spine and have beautiful factory finish, with only the slightest of blemishes in the steel. The tangs are stamped with the maker's mark which are crisp and deep and the days of the week are etched into the spine in French.
The original elephant ivory scales with nickel silver fastening hardware are in like new condition and the blades are held tightly and center well between them, though 3 razors have minor flaws, shown in the case up photos. The razors come in the excellent original box which does have a bit of wear but really adds to the value and history of this set. These razors all have a sharp edge which may or not be considered shave ready, but it would not take much work to get them there. For collecting purposes we've left the existing edges as-is, however if desired we can hone all seven for $50. Please contact us after purchase if interested in adding this honing service.
A true collectible, do not miss this one!
