NOTE: These are new hones, cut and lapped and labelled by us here at GSG from old stock raw stone blocks left over from mining done 50+ years ago.
They are offered in large sizes never produced by the workshop, are lapped perfectly flat and ready to use immediately and have the vintage paper labels from the mine. Choose your hone from the numbered photos.

Offered here are Dalmore Blue Sharpening Stones, a piece of history from the original workshop on the Dalmore estate in rural Stair, Scotland. In widespread use since the 1800s, this sandstone type stone is perfect for mid-range sharpening on knives and razors. It's a crucial step before moving to a finer finishing hone and excels at this work. Its medium grit and hardness ensure efficient removal of scratches from coarser hones, leading to precise sharpening and razor-sharp edges.
