We have plenty of these raw Hideriyama Suita raw finger stone or nagura pieces which we are offering for sale in 100g batches. The pictured stones are representative of a 100g batch, but will vary in size in appearance from those shown.
Hideriyama is a mine which produced amazing stones for knives. These Hon Shiro Suita fingerstones are quite easy to process and work with, being semi soft. These Hon Shiro Suita fingerstones are a bit more fine than the Hideriyama Renge Suita fingerstones. For this reason, they can be used for final finishing where a deep, hazy Kasumi finish is desired.
These fingerstones create a uniform blanket of haze on the jigane and polish the hagane or hard steel to a silver, hazy finish. These fingerstones can be used effectively on Honyaki, mono steel and clad blades.
