J.G. Escher & Vintage Thuringian Water Razor Hones

Up for offer here are 2 rare and highly desirable Thuringian razor hones, one labelled and sold by J.G. Escher.

Stone No.1 pictured is a small rectangular Thuringian. By our estimation this would be considered a dark blue stone. The stone itself measures 1 1/8 in x 5 1/8in. x approximately 3/4in. thick. It has been lapped flat and smooth and is ready to hone razors immediately.

Stone No.2 pictured is a labelled Escher which by our estimation would be considered a light green Escher. The stone itself measures 1 3/16 in x 5 3/4 in. x approximately 11/16in. thick. The label on the stone is in excellent condition as shown. This hone has been untouched since we acquired it, so nothing has been applied to the label to seal it and the stone has not been lapped. It actually shows very little if any use.
