This stone is a gorgeous piece of very rare Okudo Aisa. It's a stunning Mizu Asagi coloration with Goma. The backside is covered with intricate chisel marks and it's an art piece in itself just based on looks alone.
It has a very satin like feel and it's a dream to sharpen knives and razors with as it has a very gentle feel for its hardness and density.
Mikawa Nagura progressions are doable but the stone will release of itself especially in coarser or harder Nagura. This is a stone that still great for Mikawa progression still as the mix of slurry is a dream to hone on.
It is a fast cutting stone with sharper feeling abrasive particles that need to be worked a bit extra to ensure a comfortable shave but the extra time is well worth it as the edges are screamers.
