Striking Nakayama Ikimurasaki Maruichi. Perfect for razors and Kamisori and marketed originally to the Japanese Barber industry. Maruichi was a shop in Japan which supplied beauty supplies to barbers in the region and beyond. They selected the many stones from different mines but mainly marketed Hon Narutaki, Nakayama, and Shobudani for Kamisori and straight razors. This stone is an Old stock, Vintage, BNIB piece which was stored from the shop's vast left over inventory. This beautiful piece has a beige base with deep, evolving Ikimurasaki coloration throughout. This piece is labeled as being medium hard and offers an extremely smooth and easy going honing experience which is appropriate for all levels of skill.
