This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan and thoroughly tested.

It measures 135 mm (5.31 in) long × 85 mm (3.35 in) wide × 15 mm (0.59 in) tall, and weighs 428 g (15.10 oz / 0.94 lb).

Vintage Nakayama Tenjou Tomae Ikimurasaki with faint Maruka stamp. This Maruka was owned by a collector in JP. It is a smaller sized razor shaped stone with amazingly striking color and swirling patterns. Nakayama Maruka are highly sought after and becoming extremely rare with many fake and counterfeit stamps. This piece is an authentic example and being on the thin side, highly affordable for a Maruka stamped Nakayama. This Tenjou Tomae's base color is classic Ikimurasaki (purple) with red Iromono splashes. This is a medium hard stone with excellent ease of use characteristics.
