Vintage Nakayama Aisa Koppa for sword polishing. Nakayama is the most famous mine across the board and for excellent reason. This collection of old mined Nakayama stones were mined from the rare Aisa layer, of which many Karasu stones are found. This beautiful, vintage koppa was set aside and graded as being pure and high performance enough to be considered as a sword polishing piece. Sword grade stones are typically composed of extremely high levels of silica abrasive as fast cutting performance is a must for swords as they're all steel. this logic also applies to razors as their construction is similar. This Koppa features a beautiful yellow base with Nashiji. This Koppa is dense, hard and fine with excellent, nuanced feel.
