Nakayama Kiita Koppa Japanese Natural Finishing Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 105 mm (4.13 inches) long × 75 mm (2.95 inches) wide × 28 mm (1.10 inches) tall, and weighs 406 g (14.32 oz / 0.90 lbs).

Bright yellow Nakayama Kiita with vivid Iromono banding. This small koppa packs a punch and makes up for its lack of size in performance characteristics. This piece was set aside in the 1970's for sword polishing. This koppa would make a perfect hand held hone with its compact size and high performance characteristics. This Koppa would make a wonderful hand held finishing stone for razors. It's grit rich composition allows it to be used as a standalone finisher with forced slurry. It's also hard enough to refine the edge with water only final finishing. Also amazing for small knives and tools and creates a beautiful mirror like finish.
