Choose your stone from the numbered photos. Each hone will include a matching Suita or Karasu slurry stone (not pictured).
These are koppa, or smaller, often irregularly shaped stones which are great for razors. Recently mined from the famous Nakayama mountain in Kyoto, Japan, these are all stones which are on the harder end of the spectrum and intended for finishing razors and other fine instruments or tools.
The mountain’s mines had been closed for years, but this supplier has re-started mining with the permission from the mountain owner and has found good quality stones.
Guide to stone stamps: Black characters say "Nakayama Awaseto". Green stamp is the stone supplier’s emblem. The black marking is the stamp of Kyoto natural stone association.

Individual Stone Details:

Stone No. 2 is a Karasu hone which weighs 653 grams and measures at its max dimensions 77mm wide x 120mm long x 28mm thick.
NOTE: This stone has a couple hard "toxic" lines, circled in the closeup photo of the surface. In use these could be avoided or sanded out to remove them before use.
