This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed with clear lacquer on the sides to protect the stone for long term use.

It measures 140 mm (5.51 in) long × 80 mm (3.15 in) wide × 35 mm (1.38 in) tall, and weighs 906 g (31.96 oz / 2.00 lb).

Nakayama is arguably the most famous of the Yamashiro Mines along with its famous counterpoint, Shobudani. Nakayama has a rich history and is known for producing some of the best performing stones in the game. Beautiful Nakayama Suita with hachimai patterns, most likely a combination layer stone. Very dense and fine yet easy to use with smooth, fast cutting performance. Extremely fine particles create hyper keen edges and vivid, detailed mirror like finish with ease.
