Nakayama Tomae Asagi Koppa Japanese Finishing Whetstone

This Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and coated with cashew lacquer on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 105 mm (4.13 inches) long × 68 mm (2.68 inches) wide × 25 mm (0.98 inches) tall, and weighs 474 g (16.72 oz / 1.05 lbs).

Hardness: 4.7
Dense, firm, held held koppa from the Nakayama Mine. This Asagi colored koppa was mined pre 1980 and has the wonderfully smooth feedback and silica rich fast cutting ability. This koppa is very dense and hard. The Kiita yellow base has subtle splashes of Iromono reds.
