Vintage Nakayama Hon Tomae with deep Tamagoiro Kiita base color. A perfectly clean and pure Tamagoiro stone with beautiful chisel marks on the backside. The sides show old saw marks as well. This is an extremely versatile type Hon Tomae which is great for all blades and skill levels. Capable of being used at a high level for all blades including knives, razors, tools and swords. Great for all skill levels and applications so an extremely versatile stone, as are most Kiita. best suited for standalone finishing when honing razors but can also be used with Nagura progressions with noticeable self slurry introduced into the mixture. Quintessential Kiita performance with exceedingly smooth, silky operation and feedback. produces light saber edges with relative ease and speed with its grit rich slurry component. When used for knives and tools, it performs inky and fast cutting with beautiful, detailed mirror like kasumi finish.
