Vintage Ozuku Karasu with unique extremely unique appearance. Ozuku is one of the Eastern, Yamashiro Mines which are the most highly regarded stones in Japan. Ozuku closed down decades ago and this stone came from a vintage collection. The backside is covered with beautiful kawa and the stones unique surface appearance is quite rare! This piece is perfect for razor honing and handles Mikawa nagura progressions amazingly with nuanced, clear feedback. This stone is super hard yet has a forgiving/semi buoyant feel when honing. This feeling of buoyancy can aid in light touch situations and stroke consistency.
