Ozuku is one of the Eastern, Yamashiro Mines in Kyoto. Ozuku is well known for its firm, fine, grit rich stones. Ozuku are treasured along with Nakayama, Shobudani, and Okudo, which are close in proximity. Ozuku has been closed for decades and these stones are examples of the remaining stock. Many razor enthusiasts seek out the most hard, fine stones possible and Ozuku were treasured by barbers and Carpenters for their mirror like finish. A darker grey Sen Mai Asagi with extremely pure composition. A pure razor finishing stone which works extremely well with Mikawa Shiro Nagura Progressions. Just fast enough for standalone finishing as well. This stone is a solid, reliable stone which will last lifetimes with its extreme density. Capable of producing mirror finish and extremely keen, light saber edges. Great for all skill levels.
