Razor Specifics:
Age Range: Circa 1950s-1960s
Manufacturer: Made in Japan, likely in the post-war period from late 1940s-1960s
Restoration: some light cleaning and polishing, but the razor was likely never or very lightly used, it has been also freshly honed and stropped and is ready to shave immediately 
Blade
Material: This razor is crafted from Hitachi Yasuki Steel, a modern Hitachi Metals variant of Tamahagane steel. Renowned for its exceptionally high carbon content and extremely fine grain, it stands as one of the finest quality steels produced in Japan.
Width: 6/8” wide from edge to top of spine
Grind: Western style full hollow grind
Hone Wear: none 
Tip: Round
Finishes: slightly glazed mirror finish on blade faces, crocus (mirror) finish on tang
Condition: near mint, some light marks to the steel present but very little considering the razor's age
Shave ready: Yes, freshly honed with one layer of tape on the spine and stropped to a comfortable shaving edge

About our restoration and honing process
Each one of our restored razors is brought back to life with a passion and attention to detail like it would be an addition to our own collection or user rotation. Many years of restoration experience and hundreds of restored razors sold around the world have refined our processes, but each razor is still given the time and individual attention it needs. Our vintage razors undergo dozens of steps involving blade unpinning (where necessarily) metal grinding/sanding with a range of different diameter and hardness wheels with various grits of abrasive and polishes. Scales are straightened and repaired when necessary, wet sanded and polishing. After the razor’s cosmetic and functional repairs are completed, a multistep honing process using a range of synthetic and natural sharpening stones is used to bring each razor back to keen and comfortable shaving sharpness. Finally stropping is performed on one of our cordovan leather strops and the blade is sanitized in Barbicide hospital-grade disinfectant.
