SFI Wapienica NOS Straight Razors - 5/8 Quarter Hollow Blade, Stainless Steel Scales
It's uncommon to find these Polish-made SFK razors in NOS condition, and we've acquired a good quantity. From our estimation, these likely date from the 1950s-1970s and were made for medical or military use (pre-surgical shaving, barbers use etc.) in Eastern Bloc countries. Each very high quality razor has a 5/8-11/16 width, quarter hollow grind high quality carbon steel blade housed in nicely made stainless steel scales which are a good weight and balance nicely.
We are making these available in two conditions:
1. Sealed and Unopened with storage grease intact (be aware these can sometimes have some minor corrosion on spine and/or blade faces which can be removed with fine sandpaper and hand polishing or power buffing), they also would need honing before shaving use
2. Cleaned and Shave Ready
The razor will be carefully opened, thick factory preserving grease removed, any corrosion in the steel carefully cleaned off, scales tightened and blades centered and finally each razor's edge hand honed, inspected and stropped to ensure an excellent shave right out of the box. When purchasing sealed NOS razors there is often the chance that you may open the box to a rusted or otherwise damaged razor, by purchasing a razor with this option selected all of that risk is removed.
NOTE: ALL of these razors are essentially identical, so individual choice of razor is not possible (or needed). They came packed inside several different color plastic boxes, with plastic bag or cellophane and paper wrap packaging, with random choice of the plastic case.
