This masterpiece is made for us by the renowned Shigeki Tanaka San from Miki City. 
Tanaka San is well regarded for his mastery of forging and grinding skills, especially for kitchen knives. 
This Kamisori is constructed in the same fashion as Tanaka San's legendary Aogami #2 Damascus series of kitchen knives. He hand folds the soft iron Damascus cladding and hand welds the Aogami #2 Hagane to the Damascus Jigane in the traditional Ni-Mai single bevel forging method used by Japanese smiths for century's. Tanaka San's heat treatment of Aogami #2 is exquisite with great utilitarian traits such as edge retention, toughness and buttery sharpen-ability.  Each razor is hardened and tempered to 62-63 HRC.
Tanaka San hand forges the razors, grinds and wraps the handles all in house ensuring that your new blade has his signature touch on every piece. 
Tanaka San doesn't make too many of these Kamisori nowadays as the demand for them as decreased over the years. We don't how long he will continue to force these unique blades so please take this chance to grab a high quality, hand forged razor while supplies last.

Box: Comes carefully and wonderfully packaged in a Paulownia wood presentation  box 
Honing: This razor has been honed by the maker and is shave ready for most purposes.
