Tsukinowa Akapin Karasu Japanese Natural Finishing Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan, thoroughly tested and sealed on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use. 

It measures 195 mm (7.68 inches) long × 70 mm (2.76 inches) wide × 22 mm (0.87 inches) tall, and weighs 806 g (1.78 lb / 28.43 oz).

Super hard Tsukinowa Akapin with a unique Karasu appearance. Tsukinowa Akapin vary in hardness and performance characteristics but this type is very hard and fine, making it perfect for finishing razors. Although hard, this stone contains a high percentage of Silica abrasive. Depending on how it's used, it is capable of creating an extremely refined finish, quickly. these Tsukinowa Akapin are visually captivating with Earthy, rich, Hunter Green/brown base and Tsukinowa's unique Karasu appearance adds depth to the landscape.
