Werner Breidenbach 70th Anniversary of Razor Grinding Razor & Thuringian Hone Cased Set

We are pleased to offer the last few razors from 2018 made on the 70th anniversary of Walter Breidenbach's razor grinding career.
This set includes:

In 1948 Werner Breidenbach began his apprenticeship at Paul Drees company in Solingen, Germany. He remained loyal to this company as straight razor grinder and later also as owner for more than 55 years. Mr. Breidenbach then made razors on his own and for other companies towards the end of his career. Today, at over 85 years of age, he is one of the last true straight razor grinders in Solingen, who has practiced his whole life and perfected this craft.
Each razor shown here is a special edition that the master hand made himself on the occasion of his anniversary of 70 years as a straight razor grinder. Each was made entirely by hand in the finest Solingen hollow grinding tradion. With good care and treatment, each razor will not only give you a lot of pleasure but can also be passed down and used over generations and thus remain a testament to the finest Solingen craftsmanship.
