Yaginoshima Asagi are quite underrated in terms of Polishing performance. Although these Asagi are quite firm, they do an excellent job in gently polishing the jigane/hagane without the tendency to scratch. This is quite rare in hard/fine stones. These Asagi are well known for their purity, which is vital in fingerstone polishing performance.
These Yaginoshima Asagi can be utilized by polishing with medium to light pressure and proper water management to achieve a beautiful, detailed, Kasumi finish with excellent balance of refinement vs contrast.
