Yaginoshima is a western, Tanba area mine regarded for their pure, consistent stones. Yaginoshima is also well known and regarded for its Suita. This beautiful Renge Suita features a Shiro Suita white base with dense aka Renge. This Suita is extremely easy to use with its medium base hardness. A fast cutting, grit rich Suita which is quite fine. Perfect for razor pre finish and knife/tools sharpening/polishing. This stone releases a bit of self slurry with heavier pressure and cuts extremely fast. the stone produces a bright, hazy finish. Amazing value for an authentic Suita with this level of beauty and Renge! Perfect for razor pre finishing and capable of producing finishing level edges with proper technique and slurry breakdown. Lines cannot be felt at this time and do not scratch the steel.
