These Hideriyama shiki Tomae Tomo nagura are a great option for a medium hardness Tomo nagura. While not too hard or fine, these nagura sit in the middle in terms of most categories (hard/fine). They are quite versatile in application and can be used for re conditioning, medium fine slurry creation, kasumi finish and pre finishing. Although these Hideriyama Tomo nagura are considered medium hardness, their particle size is more the larger side and they will polish on the hazier side. Perfect for creating a toothy edge on kitchen knives which will provide amazing food penetration. These Hideriyama Shiki tomae provide a smooth, matte surface when used for re conditioning for maximum comfortability while honing.
These nagura will tend to release their own slurry when used on base stones Level 4+ hardness.
