Japanese Whetstone Scrap By The Pound - For Nagura & Finger Stones

We have plenty of Japanese whetstone scrap / offcuts which we are offering for sale by the pound. Mostly pre-finisher or finisher hardness from the Aiwatani mine (Suita, Tomae, Akapin) there is also some Nakayama and other miscellaneous mine and layers whetstone mixed in. Some pieces are large enough for flattening to make small kamisori or pocket hones, but mostly this is great material for making into nagura, breaking into finger stones or crushing into powder for polishing.
Selection is completely random, a sampling of the scrap is pictured. We cannot fully guarantee quality or characteristics of these pieces as they have not been flattened or tested. There may be toxic lines or spots in the stone which can be cut or worked around.
