Note: The razor shown is a stock photo from our inventory. Since the razor's scales are made from a natural material they will vary in appearance from those shown.
We've been very impressed with the new razors released from the classic brand of Boker Solingen, and are proud to now offer some of their fine razors. The craftsmanship is impeccable and blade grinding truly top-notch, many with a clear ringing sound associated with some of the thinnest, most finely ground vintage razors when the blade is lightly plucked.
Description from Boker:
"A long-cherished wish has finally come true with the Boker Master Cutter Damascus: an 8/8 inch wide dream made of Damascus. While much time has passed since the first blank was forged, the efforts have been worthwhile. The mighty blade features jimping on both sides of the spine, is equipped with a Barber's Notch and is of course sharpened extra hollow with ridge on complex tone. The bulbous handle made of desert ironwood is, unlike all the other razors in our range, not classically riveted, but rather decoratively screwed together. Desert ironwood is relatively heavy, very hard and extremely tenacious. Because of these characteristics it is difficult to work with, but at the same time it is also particularly durable and weatherproof, which makes it an ideal material for razor handles. To match the Barber's Notch of the blade, the handle has a recess towards the tip of the blade. This allows a clear view of the decorative intermediate piece, which is also made of Damascus in this extraordinary model. Features authentic Boker laser engraving in the blade passage, certificate of authenticity, and elegant floating display. Handmade in the Boker knife manufactory Solingen."
Since many of our customers like to hone their own razors, by default we will ship these razors with the factory edge. However, we will happily hone them to our standards upon request, at no additional charge. If this service is desired please leave us a note at checkout and allow an extra 2-3 business days before shipment.
