This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan and thoroughly tested. Details are provided below.

It measures 140 mm (5.51 in) long × 100 mm (3.94 in) wide × 15 mm (0.59 in) tall, and weighs 344 g (12.13 oz / 0.76 lb).

Vintage Nakayama Maruichi Asagi BNIB. This stone was sourced from a business who shut down years ago and had leftover inventory. This is a hard, yellow colored Asagi, very close to Kiita. It features a full yellow/beige base color with sparse Nashiji and subtle Kan bottom end cap. This koppa was intended for use on razors and Kamisori but can also be used for knives and tools as well. This is a harder stone which is great for hand held honing. Can be used with Nagura progressions or standalone finishing techniques. Great for all levels of experience and skill and although hard, will be quite easy to work with.
